ILO welcomes the reactivation of social dialogue in Greece

Meeting at the International Labour Organization (ILO) headquarters in Geneva on 15 May 2015, the Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity of Greece, Mr Panagiotis Skourletis and the ILO Director-General, Mr Guy Ryder held a productive and positive exchange of views that provides a strong framework for enhanced further collaboration.

The ILO warmly welcomes the reactivation of social dialogue in Greece.
 
In that context, the ILO particularly appreciates the new efforts of the Government of Greece and its social partners to move towards the promotion of collective bargaining, including through the on-going legislative efforts aiming at conformity with international labour standards.

The ILO will continue its efforts to work with the Greek constituents to this end as well as in other priority areas for improvement in the Greek labour market.
