   An International Conference on Employment in Iraq adopted a Declaration here today underlining the crucial role of employment in the reconstruction and development of Iraq where some 30 per cent of the adult workforce and 50 per cent of youth are unemployed.

   The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) have agreed to cooperate at enhancing children's participation and youth empowerment to eliminate child labour though the participation of the Scouts in the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (ILO/IPEC).

   Media advisory: ILO lends support to African network of mutual health organizations

   In an effort to help boost the development of mutual health organizations in Africa, the ILO and a wide range of partners are lending support to the third forum of the "Coordination Network" of Mutual Health Organizations to be held in Bamako, Mali, from 17-19 November 2004. The forum will focus on the development of mutual health organizations (MHOs), engaged in improving quality of and access to health care.
