    ILO-IPEC, World Scout Movement extend cooperation to fight child labour

    Michele Jankanish, Director of the ILO’s International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) and Luc Panissod, Acting Secretary-General of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend their cooperation in the fight against child labour for a further three years.

    ILO to launch new guide against child trafficking during III World Congress against Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents

    The International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) will launch a new resource guide on child trafficking and sexual exploitation to coincide with the III World Congress against Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro from 25 to 28 November.

    Brazil, ILO launch South-South cooperation against child labour

    The Brazilian Government and the International Labour Organization launch a major new initiative to promote specific South-South technical cooperation projects and activities that contribute effectively to the prevention and elimination of child labour, in accordance with the international obligations of each country.
