ILO to release report on homeworkers
GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will release a new report analyzing the situation of homeworkers worldwide – whose numbers have increased significantly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Working from home. From invisibility to decent work provides the latest global estimates of homeworker numbers, including by gender; gives a breakdown of sectors, working conditions, and the risks they face working from home.
It compares the wages of homeworkers and non-homeworkers, examines homeworker regulations, and makes a series of recommendations.
The report also assesses the likely impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the homeworking sector.
