GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will hold a special Facebook Live Session on the 2017 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery and Child Labour on Tuesday, 24 October at 08:30 GMT (10:30 Geneva time).

The session provides the opportunity to present the 2017 Global Estimates of Modern slavery and Child labour launched last month, and to reply to questions from viewers.

Guests will be:

• Beate Andrees, Chief of the ILO Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Branch; and
• Michaelle De Cock, ILO Senior Statistician.

The session will be aired both on the ILO Facebook Page as well as on this web page.

The data of the global estimates are published in two reports:

• Global estimates of modern slavery: Forced labour and forced marriage, developed by the International Labour Organization and Walk Free Foundation in partnership with the International Organization for Migration.
• Global estimates of child labour: Results and trends, 2012-2016, developed by the International Labour Organization.

The methodologies of the global estimates are published in two reports:

• Methodology of the global estimates of modern slavery: Forced labour and forced marriage, developed by the International Labour Organization and Walk Free Foundation in partnership with the International Organization for Migration.
• Methodology of the global estimates of child labour, 2012-2016, developed by the International Labour Organization.
