Barbados: Workshop on Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises

The Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV) took part in a workshop held in Bridgetown (Barbados) on 16 and 17 January on Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises.

Bridgetown, 17 January 2012 (ACTRAV INFO)-The Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV) took part in a workshop held in Bridgetown (Barbados) on 16 and 17 January on Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises.

“Since 2010 I have been collaborating with the EMP/SEED department (Employment Sector) in conducting trade union-initiated survey on sustainable enterprises in Barbados. The surveys were completed in Barbados in December 2011.We are now going to conduct validation workshops to complete the studies and publish the reports in this country”, explained Mr. Mohamed Mwamadzingo, senior officer at Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV).

The validation workshop in Barbados involves the tripartite partners under the coordination of Barbados Workers Union; under the leadership of Sir Roy Trotman (former spokesperson of the ILO Workers Group).

A similar workshop for Indonesia will be held in Jakarta on 8-9 February.
