    Cambodia's Employment Injury Insurance Fund

    Cambodian workers who are injured at work or in transit to their workplace now benefit from a government-run system of insurance thanks to an ILO/Korea Partnership project. The National Social Security Fund is a worker compensation scheme that is self-sufficient and overseen by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. When a claim is approved, the fund provides in-kind and cash benefits regardless of whether the individual is able to return to full-time employment.

    H.E. Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia, Addresses 100th International Labour Conference

    The President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has called for a global coalition to tackle youth employment in an address to a special session of the 100th International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva. The President called on delegates to work together to prevent increasing unemployment among young people, saying this would be critical to creating a new era of social justice.

    Philippines’ fight against hazardous child labour goes on-line

    (Manila, Philippines) Rodel Morcozo, a former child labour, now works for Senator Loren Legarda and is a strong advocate against child labour.
