Like in other European countries, inactivity rates of Polish workers with disabilities tend to be much higher than that of other workers. While their share of the working age population in Poland is 10 per cent, their share in employment is only 3.8 per cent, says a new ILO report on the situation of disabled people in Poland.

The International La Strada Association is a network of nine independent human rights NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations) in Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine. It aims to prevent trafficking in human beings, with a focus on women in Central and Eastern Europe.

The overall objective of the Task force is to counteract trafficking in human beings in the Baltic Sea Region through preventive and protective activities, focusing on persons over the age of 18.
