The global jobs crisis is hitting the younger generation hard. According to the ILO, worldwide over 75 million young people are out of work and the problem is especially acute in countries like Spain that have been hard hit by the Euro crisis.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has warned of a "scarred" generation of young workers facing a dangerous mix of high unemployment, increased inactivity and precarious work in developed countries, as well as persistently high working poverty in the developing world.

Record unemployment is one of the consequences of the global economic crisis, but in Argentina, fewer jobs were lost in the crisis than in many other countries. A new report from the ILO found that’s because Argentina learned some lessons from a bitter experience in the past, and protected jobs when hard times came around again.
