ILO and UN Women Sign Memorandum of Understanding

ILO Director-General Juan Somavia and UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Michelle Bachelet, addressed conference delegates after signing a memorandum of understanding at the 100th International Labour Conference. The agreement will take the two agencies' strong working relationship to a 'new and better level', said Juan Somavia, and will cover areas including gender equality, the elimination of gender discrimination in the workplace, domestic workers and social protection floors.
