1,000 minute social media rally for the Millennium Development Goals

As April 5 marks 1,000 days until the 2015 target date to achieve the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the global community will come together for a 1,000 minute rally across social media.

Press release | 05 April 2013

On Friday April 5, a global community of individuals, organizations and institutions are coming together to recognize successes to date and reinvigorate discussion and action on the MDGs still to be achieved.

The 1,000 minute rally across social media is to feature photos and stories illustrating the impact of the MDGs so far. You can follow @ILO or via #MDGMomentum on Twitter, or view the slideshow  of collected photos and captions.

This online event also provides an opportunity to look ahead to the development action needed post-2015 to build on the work already done.

Share #MDGmomentum with your community!
