Red Card to Child Labour

A red card is used in several sports and normally indicates a serious offence. It also often means that a player has been expelled from the game.

The ILO has chosen to use this powerful symbol in their campaign to raise awareness about child labour all over the world. So far, many have pledged their support for this campaign including: Presidents, Prime Ministers and Government Ministers of Brazil, Cameroon, Costa Rica, East Timor, Egypt, Mali and Peru.

Pelé, the soccer legend and former Brazilian Minister of Sports, has supported the Red Card to Child Labour campaign, joining the ranks of numerous other star athletes and international personalities such as: Zinedine Zidane, Roger Milla, Ronaldo, Rai, Sepp Blatter and Gilberto Gil.  More recently, another Brazilian soccer star, Robinho, has lent his support to eliminate the worst forms of child labour in Brazil.

To support the campaign, download the Red Card to Child Labour and share it with your friends.
