   2010 General Survey concerning employment instruments in light of the 2008 Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization

   The Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations is publishing this year a General Survey on Employment Instruments, which is the first General Survey linked to the follow-up of the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization adopted in 2008.

   ILO Commission of Inquiry visits Zimbabwe on goodwill mission

   20 May 2009

   The ILO Commission of Inquiry into the situation of trade union rights in Zimbabwe arrived in Harare on 19 May 2009 on a goodwill mission. The mandate of the Commission is to follow-up on specific submissions concerning the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize Convention, No. 87, and the Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining Convention No. 98. The Commission will eventually submit a report to the Governing Body of the ILO containing its findings, and such recommendations as it thinks appropriate in accordance with Article 26 of the Constitution of the ILO.
