This series consists of 16 training modules which together form a coherent package for the building and maintenance of rural roads using labour and light equipment. Its aim is to train supervisors who will be involved in the managing of labour-based road construction and maintenance projects. This series is designed to be used as supplementary training material when introducing the various subjects of a training course on labour-based construction and maintenance. It should preferably be used in conjunction with the ILO Guide to the training of supervisors for labour-based road construction and maintenance (ISBN 92-2-102829-1). This guide has served as the basis for the production of the series and contains complementary training and reference material.
