The Governing Body is the executive body of the International Labour Office (the Office is the secretariat of the Organization). It meets three times a year, in March, June and November. It takes decisions on ILO policy, decides the agenda of the International Labour Conference, adopts the draft Programme and Budget of the Organization for submission to the Conference, and elects the Director-General. Strategic Policy Framework - internet portal
10 March 2008 - We wish to inform all Governing Body members that an internet portal has been created to provide them with information on the preparation of the ILO Strategic Policy Framework (SPF). This portal was requested by some Governing Body members following the informal consultations on the preparation of the SPF, held in Geneva on 6 February 2008.
