28 January 2009 - ILO TV interviews Juan Somavia, the ILO Director-General, about the Global Employment Trends 2009 report published today. "The ILO message is realistic, not alarmist. We are now facing a global jobs crisis. Many governments are aware and acting, but more decisive and coordinated international action is needed to avert a global social recession," says Mr. Somavia.

25 November 2008 - The global economic crisis is expected to lead to painful cuts in the wages of millions of workers worldwide in the coming year, according to a new report published today by the International Labour Office (ILO). ILO TV interviews Manuela Tomei, Chief of the ILO Conditions of Work and Employment Programme, to discuss the report's findings.
