GESS provides access to two comprehensive online International Labour Organization (ILO) databases, NORMLEX and ILOLEX, which contain records of all national legislation relating to social security, as well as ILO Conventions, Recommendations and other related documents

NORMLEX is a database of national labour, social security and related human rights legislation maintained by the ILO's International Labour Standards Department. Including over 80 000 records from 196 countries, NORMLEX is a navigable online documentation facility regularly updated by legislation experts.

ILOLEX is a database of all the Conventions, Recommendations and other related documents approved by the ILO. Full text versions of all conventions are accessible through ILOLEX, as well as records of specific country ratification.
