We are pleased to inform you that the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) is organizing the eleventh edition of its training activity on “Social Health Insurance” which will be held in Turin, Italy, from 4- 15 April 2011.
This training course will review the design, implementation and management of social health insurance, as well as its financial aspects and develop an international perspective on social health insurance through comparative experiences and discussions between participants and resource persons. Our experience is that managers, planners, financial officers and professionals in the health sector, whether in research or policy-making, benefit from this training activity.
For the first time this year, we are offering the course in English and in French (with simultaneous interpretation and translation of documents), thus broadening the scope of the course. We are also introducing new topics such as governance of SHI systems, actuarial data, contracting with providers. Attached is the description of the training programme for a duration of two weeks at the cost of EUR 3,250 – not including travel (see details in the flyer).
Applications to attend the course (registration form) should be supported by a nomination letter from the sponsoring (and funding institution), indicating how the candidate will be financed. Applications should arrive not later than March 1, 2011 to the following address: socpro@itcilo.org
