What is the Knowledge map?

The present web site is a wiki specialized on micro insurance where users are encouraged to share their experiences in order to build a “knowledge map” on micro insurance.
The knowledge map is part of the GIMI platform (Global Information on Micro Insurance).

What is a wiki?

A wiki is a type of website that allows users to easily add and edit content and is especially suited for collaborative writing. The name is based on the Hawaiian term wiki, meaning "quick", "fast", or "to hasten".

Objectives of the Knowledge map

  • Facilitating the exchange of information and experiences and the debate on micro insurance
  • Allowing people to acquire new knowledge and skills in the field of micro insurance
  • Allowing the production of an encyclopedia on micro insurance that will progressively grow
