This project, coordinated by GENDER, addresses the gender dimensions of both policy orientation and operational aspects of the Sweden/ILO Partnership Progamme 2009-11. The project provides technical support to ILO headquarters-based units that are responsible for the partnership programme’s thematic components: job rich growth, freedom of association and collective bargaining, and occupational safety and health. The units are the Programme on Safety and Health at Work and the Environment, Programme on Promoting the Declaration, and the Employment Sector. Activities of the GENDER-coordinated project include technical guidance on gender mainstreaming, training, and tools development. Activities are carried out in collaboration with the global ILO Gender Network, as well as with the Turin-based International Training Centre.
