The Governing Body invited the Director-General to convey its condolences to the family of Mr Vijit Sangtong, who had been a senior official in the Labour Department of Thailand, and Chairperson of the Governing Body of the ILO, and to the Government of Thailand; to the family of Mr Alain Ludovic Tou, who had held various ministerial posts in his country, including that of Labour, Employment and Youth, and had been Chairperson of the Governing Body of the ILO and a member of the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization, as well as to the Government of Burkina Faso.
