Decision on the fifth item on the agenda: Matters arising out of the 100th Session of the International Labour Conference requiring immediate attention

The Governing Body:

(a) noted the measures being put into place for the internal expenditure review, including informal consultation with constituents prior to the 312th Session (November 2011) of the Governing Body;

(b) noted the suggestions put forward by members for improving the functioning of the International Labour Conference, which would be taken into account by the Working Party on the Functioning of the Governing Body and of the International Labour Conference, when it convened during the 312th Session (November 2011) of the Governing Body;

(c) decided, in light of the statement made by the Officers of the International Labour Conference on the subject, to place on the agenda of its 312th Session (November 2011) a substantive discussion on policy coherence in the multilateral system and the role of the International Labour Organization in that context.
