This first annual evaluation report provides an overview of evaluations of various types that were conducted in 2005, with particular emphasis on independent evaluations, their findings and the lessons learned. The report features the recommendations and follow-up to major strategy evaluations, as well as a quality appraisal of independent technical cooperation project evaluations. In addition, it
describes the current implementation of the evaluation policy, including work in progress. Finally, it provides a preview of the major independent evaluations proposed for 2007.
