    The ILO project aims to promote fundamental labour rights as an integral part of the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. It will contribute to creating an environment where businesses can be rebuilt and thrive, and workers find decent job opportunities with social protection and labour rights safeguarded.

  1. Enabling the participation of women in the labour market by expanding childcare services

    The ILO provides support to the development and pilot-testing of affordable childcare service models, the adoption of care legislation and policies, and the formalisation of the care sector.

  2. Inclusive and productive employment in the Republic of Moldova

    1 December 2022 - 31 December 2024

    The project includes a complementary package of interventions on creation of more and better jobs, improved employability of people through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and adult learning, and formalization of employment.

  4. Inclusive labour markets for job creation in Ukraine

    Considering the complexity of the Ukrainian labour market, the Denmark-funded ILO program implements a comprehensive approach, organized around three key pillars. This initiative concentrates on upgrading the Ukrainian public employment services, empowering them to offer more efficient and inclusive active labour market policies. The program includes a substantial skills development facet, dedicated to diminishing the skills gap. This is achieved by aligning the qualifications of new labour market entrants more closely with private sector needs. Finally, the program dedicates itself to strengthening social dialogue mechanisms, targeting vital issues such as informal employment, wage inequality, and gender discrimination.

  6. Access to grievance mechanisms for workers in selected industries in Serbia

    1 February 2023 - 31 January 2024

    The ILO and the GIZ will work together in order to provide workers in the automotive, electrical and textile industry in Serbia with better access to grievance mechanisms, including amicable settlement of labour disputes. The project will also aim at training compliance officers in these industries, with a goal of increased awareness of and reliance on grievance mechanisms.

  1. Childcare in Moldova: A systemic approach to improve provision
