Outcomes of ILO support to the Bovel and Barai irrigation systems

Project documentation | 01 August 2001
This publication is part of a series of studies that measure the potential impacts arising from investments in rural transport infrastructure. The focus of this report is the ILO input in the construction, rehabilitation, maintenance and operation of the Bovel Irrigation System (BIS) in Siem Reap Province since 1992 and the Bovel Irrigation System (BoIS) in Siem Reap Province. The assistance has been through 3 consecutive technical assistance projects which evolved from generating employment through the physical rehabilitation of the systems to supporting farmer water users to operate and maintain the systems.
