ILO/Sida Partnership on Employment 2018-2019

The ILO/Sida Partnership on “More and better jobs for inclusive growth and improved youth employment prospects” aims to further strengthen and support employment policy development and implementation with a specific focus on expanded diagnostics, policy advice based on robust policy analysis of countries in similar levels of development and a pro-poor perspective, improving implementation capacity, sectoral and sub-national approaches and measures targeting vulnerable youth, based on tripartite consultations.

It is articulated around three main areas of intervention:

• strengthening employment policy diagnostic and implementation;
• targeted policies and programmes on youth employment, with focus on vulnerable youth; and,
• sectoral focus for skills anticipation through the strengthening of the STED programme.

The ILO/Sida partnership has two components: a global product and country-level activities. The Partnership has four country level initiatives in Cambodia, El Salvador, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
