Conference Video: Globalization and Labour Market Outcomes

Policy makers at both the national and international level are increasingly looking for new strategies to promote more and better employment outcomes in a globalizing world. At a workshop at the ILO in June 2011, leading academics gathered to discuss latest findings on the relationship between globalization and labour markets and their impact for policy design. In this video, participating academics including Elhanan Helpman (Harvard), David Autor (MIT), and Margaret McMillan (Tufts U and IFPRI), briefly summarize their work and explain its policy implications. The workshop was sponsored jointly by ILO, World Bank, CESifo, and EFIGE.
