The objective of the seminar on "Decent Work Issues in Poverty Reduction Strategies and National Development Frameworks" (Turin, 15-17 December 2008) was to reflect on, and scan the horizon in terms of recent trends in national development frameworks and their implications for employment. It brought together some 60 participants representing Ministries of Finance, Ministries of Labour and Employment, Employers, Workers and ILO field and HQ staff who set out a series of recommandations on the way forward, including in terms of capacity-building needs.
