In 2007, the first report on Decent Work and Youth in Latin America was published, which established the groundwork for the discussion on the role of youth in development and the importance of promoting their path toward decent work. Three years later, the ILO presents this new report, which takes stock of progress and setbacks with respect to the problems identified in the previous report. It also analyzes the influence of the recent economic and financial crisis on the situation of youth employment in the region.
