Provides an analysis of flows into and out of all labour force statuses over a specific time period, focusing on the transition between employment and unemployment. Introduces four new labour market indicators: dependent employment (growth) indicator, general mobility rate, (re)integration indicator, and (un)employment mobility rate. Analyses the relevance of unemployment as part of the employment system. Compares results from the European Community Household Panel and the European Labour Force Survey.
