The aim of this Guide is to inform national and international stakeholders on the definitions, concepts, calculations and data sources for each of the new employment indicators introduced in 2008 under MDG Target 1B. It also reinforces the existing indicator on gender equality in the labour market under Goal 3. The purpose is to assist countries to monitor and report effectively on their employment situation. Includes an example of a brief analysis of these indicators in the case of Pakistan.
