It is part of the Sector’s measures to implement the office wide ILO’s Action Plan for Gender Equality 2008-2009 which was approved by the Governing Body during November 2007. The strategy outlines 6 priority areas. For each area it identifies specific actions and measures to be taken. These areas have been broadly aligned with the ILO Action Plan for Gender Equality and as such this document should be read in conjunction with the Office wide Action Plan.
