Employment Targeting tools

The method used to calculate the deficit of productive employment and set employment targets can be done using the employment targeting tool which is an Excel-based macro-spread sheet that allows users to easily decompose changes in the labour force in two consecutive periods, into its "productive" and "deficit of productive" employment components.

Employment targeting tool

The employment targeting tool allows users to calculate estimates of deficits of productive employment as well as to derive targets for productive employment at the aggregate level. This tool follows a simplified method which may be used in situations where there is limited access to data on the working poor and on projections on the growth of the labour force.

Employment targeting tool (micro)

The employment targeting tool (micro) allows users to calculate deficits of productive employment as well as to derive targets for productive employment disaggregated by sex. This preferred tool requires access to micro data from household surveys.
