Globalization and Labour Market Outcomes (Call for Papers)

A two-day workshop on Globalization and Labour Market Outcomes. Keynote speakers: David Autor (MIT) and Elhanan Helpman (Harvard). Academic Organizers: Sascha O. Becker (U Warwick) and Marc Muendler (UC San Diego).

This two-day workshop on Globalization and Labour Market Outcomes will bring together leading economic researchers from the theoretical and empirical sides of the discipline to stimulate interaction and instigate innovative research that combines new theory with new empirics. One-and-a-half days of the workshop are reserved for an academic part. Half a day is planned for a panel discussion, where researchers interact with participants from the policy community.

Submissions of full papers or detailed abstracts should be sent by e-mail to trade [at] ilo.org. The deadline for submissions is February 25, 2011. Papers for the academic part of the workshop will be selected by Sascha O. Becker of the University of Warwick and Marc Muendler of the University of California, San Diego. The selection of papers and discussants will be completed by March 15, 2011. Papers presented at the workshop will appear in the CESifo Working Paper Series.
