The ILO’s Rural Employment and Decent Work Programme works to enable rural areas to be engines of growth, job creation, equitable development, and crisis resilience. It uses a human resource-based strategy to help formulate multidisciplinary and integrated policies and programmes to tackle rural decent work deficits that impede development.
