Enterprises Department
The ILO Enterprises Department (ENTERPRISES) has a mandate to promote decent work through supporting sustainable enterprises. It is agreed by the ILO’s tripartite constituency of governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations that sustainable enterprises are generators of employment and promoters of innovation and decent work.
The Department leads the implementation of technical projects related to sustainable enterprises in close consultation and collaboration with other departments and programmes across the ILO. It combines evidence-based policy development with capacity building and enterprise support services, delivered at multiple levels, through advisory services and a large portfolio of technical cooperation.
The Global Technical Team of ENTERPRISES brings together staff in the HQs of Geneva, the ILO field offices, and the International Training Centre (Turin), to work as one for delivering ILO sustainable enterprises agenda.
