A space where teenagers learn what is not taught in schools

Yulia Yevdokimova worked for over three years with teenagers, when she realized her ability with young people. A year ago, Yulia started to think about establishing a teenager's center. She wrote a business plan and applied for a grant. Although she did not receive the grant, she decided to start the business with her own efforts. Her idea was to create a center that would help teenagers succeed not only in their professional achievements, but also as citizens, learning to build a happy family, to choose a job, start a business, achieve goals, overcome difficulties, competently manage their own finances and be happy.
Last September, she underwent the ILO’ SIYB training and confirmed the viability of her business idea. In November, she announced the project and started to implement it. The aim of the Teenagers Brovary Hub is to teach things that are not taught in schools, by conducting activities in a coaching format.
Yulia says that during the training she noticed her strengths and weaknesses as an entrepreneur. Hearing the feedback from other participants was particularly useful. She learned how to calculate the net cost of services, understood how to meet basic and individual needs of clients, got a sense of the marketing plan, and learned about the 7Ps (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence).
With the objective of being inclusive and environmentally sustainable, the center provides free participation for children from large and families in need, promotes healthy lifestyles and cares for nature and its resources.

The activities of the center are aimed at forming the key skills of a successful person of the XXI Century, It is no secret that a range of high-demand professions will disappear tomorrow. New skills and a new mindset are needed ‒ systemic, critical, creative, logical, ‒ as well as developed emotional intelligence.
