Country-level assistance for the promotion and application of the MNE Declaration
The Office provides technical assistance on the promotion and application of the MNE Declaration to governments, employers, workers and enterprises in ILO member States, including through development cooperation projects. The Office also responds to ad-hoc requests for technical assistance.

- Building Responsible Value Chains in Asia through the Promotion of Decent Work in Business Operations (funded by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan (METI)), covering Bangladesh (garment), Cambodia (garment), Japan (garment, electronics and automotive parts) and Vietnam (garment and electronics) (2022-2024);
- Responsible Business Conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean (EU, ILO, OECD, OHCHR) covering nine countries in Latin America (2019-2022);
- Responsible Supply Chains in Asia (EU, ILO, OECD), covering six countries in Asia (China, Japan, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam) (2018-2020);
- Trade for Decent Work project improving the application of the ILO fundamental Conventions in EU trading partner countries through improved labour relations and working conditions (2019-2021);
- Women’s Economic Empowerment in G7 countries (EU, ILO, UNWomen) covering Canada, Japan and United States (2018-2020);
- Enterprises and Decent Work: promotion and application of the ILO MNE Declaration (funded by France) covering Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal;
- More and Better Jobs through Socially Responsible Labour Practices in Asia (funded by Japan), covering Pakistan (sports goods industry) and Viet Nam (electronics sector);
- Advocacy for Rights and Good Corporate Governance (UNNATI-Inclusive Growth Programme in Nepal);
- Government of Georgia lines up for Decent Work through Corporate Social Responsibility, Georgia.
