International Instruments and Corporate Social Responsibility. A booklet to Accompany Training on the Labour Dimension of CSR: from Principles to Practice

This booklet describes the evolution of the concept of CSR, the role that international organizations and the European Union play in this area, and workplace initiatives. It explains in particular the three international frames of reference in the area of CSR, namely the ILO’s MNE Declaration, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the Global Compact.
