Employee/worker

Worker is anyone who, independently from his sex or nationality, has committed with another person or entity to perform work under its direction in exchange of remuneration.

Every natural or legal person, public or private, which provides remuneration in exchange of work performed by an employee.

Wages are all kind of remuneration, independently of its denomination and its way to be calculated, including the minimum wage and any other advantages directly or indirectly paid, in cash or in kind, by the employer to the employee on the basis of the work performed.

Procedure in general

The guaranteed interprofessional minimum wage are determined by order of the Minister of Labour after consulting the National Labour Council.
