MUSIC ASSOCIATION

The Music Association (MA) is part of the ILO’s Sports and Leisure Association (S&L). Originally established in 1985 as “Musique et Temps Libres” for promoting musical activities in the ILO, the MA was re-launched in 2015 with a new Committee who is committed to revitalizing it through:

  • * Concerts
  • * Lessons for guitar, sax, percussion, piano, singing and other instruments
  • * Group rehearsals, such as through the ILO Choir or instrumental bands
  • * Individual practicing and the use of the MA pianos and available ILO space

But this is just the beginning!

Participate to the MA General Assembly Meeting to decide on future activities based on the needs and wishes of members.

HOW IS IT FINANCED?

Only by membership and fund raising events. Memberships are used to buy and maintain equipment, such as sound systems, percussion instruments and pianos for music events that benefit all ILO staff.

BECOME A MEMBER?

Membership of the association is open to all officials and members of their families, as well as retired ILO officials and honorary members. The membership fee is 40 CHF per year as standard fee, 30 CHF for retired officials and 20 CHF for interns.
