Subject: Lord Update

Dear all
Please see below update on the Lord case. Seafarers have been repatriated, P&I honoured their obligations but there is an ongoing court case for the rest of the wages.
Best, Katie

Dear Katie,

Regarding the case of MV LORD, I had send some email to the vessel since Mid-Aug but the Master not yet response. The last email I received from the Master was on 11 Aug.

Today (7 Sept) I called the lawyer Mr Jeff Xu who representing the crew in China. He confirmed all crew received 4-months wages from the P&I and had been repatriated on 31 Aug 2017. Now only the Master stay in hotel to handling some Court documents.

All crew (except Master) had appointed this lawyer to handle their remaining claims. Their remaining unpaid wages from 1 month to 4 months.

According to the Mr Jeff Xu, the vessel is now in the ship yard and unmanned.

Best regards,
Lam Wai Hong, Jason

Subject: Re: Lord

The seafarers received 4-months advance wages from P&I and repatriated on Aug 2017.

They had appointed a Chinese Lawyer to follow up their remaining wages.

I called the lawyer, he told me that the case still on going. Now the Court had judgement, but the vessel had not been sold.

He told me that after the auction, then they can process for the wages claim. But he is not sure when will be the auction.
Now the vessel is in dockyard, supervised by the Court.

Best regards,
Lam Wai Hong, Jason
ITF Inspector, Hong Kong
