Amends the Shipping (Medical Examination of Seafarers) Regulations 1986 with respect to medical certificates. Inserts a new s. 2A which permits employers to employ a seafarer without a current medical certificate for a single voyage if the situation is urgent and the safety of the ship will not be compromised.
