English translation published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Iraq, No. 48, 26 Nov. 1986, p. 4-5. Determines that the labour contract in private sector utilities may be terminated by the approval of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs if circumstances necessitate a reduction in work. Suspends the operation of s. 26(f) of the Labour Code 1970 (LS 1970 - Iraq 1) in this regard.

English translation published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Iraq, No. 32, 6 Aug. 1986, p. 4. Provides that "a labour contract shall not be terminated by the will of the worker alone in pursuance of para. (c) of Article (26) of the Labour Code No. (151) of 1970 (as amended) (LS 1970 - Iraq 1), as regards the contracting of workers in the state departments, socialist and mixed sectors, before the elapse of ten years on their actual service in those authorities." An exception is made for married or widowed women workers with a child.
