Provides for the registration of cooperatives. Sets up qualifications for membership as well as their rights and liabilities. Sets forth the audit of registered societies. Authorizes societies to amalgamate into a single society. Creates the Board of Directors of the Uganda Cooperative Alliance Ltd whose object is to make recommendation to Government on matters of policy relating to the cooperative movement. Exempt cooperatives from certain taxes. Other provisions cover property and funds, supervision and inspection of affairs, dissolution and liquidation of cooperatives, surcharge and attachment, and settlement of disputes.
