Amends the Children Development Co-Savings Act Revised Edition 2002 sections 2 (definitions), Part III (heading changed by deleting "and adoption leave" and adding "adoption leave, childcare leave and unpaid infant care leave"), 9, 9A, 10, 10A (maternity benefits for confinement occurring between 17/08/2008 and 30/10/2008), 11, 12, 12A, 12B (childcare leave and benefits for parent of qualifying child), 12C (reimbursement from Government for childcare leave), 12D (unpaid infant care leave for parent of qualifying child), 13, 14, 17, 18, 18A (offences by corporate body), 19 and 20.
Also amends the Employment Act sections 76(1)(c)(ii), 76(2) (maternity benefits), 81, 84(1), 84 (note), 84A (insertion of new section concerning right to benefit unaffected by notice of dismissal given on ground of redundancy or by reason of reorganization of employer's profession, business, trade or work).

Made under Children and Young Offenders Act. Regulates issue of weekend detention orders. Juvenile Court may make weekend detention order in respect of a child or young person who has been found guilty of an offence if, after considering a report by a probation officer, the Court is satisfied that it would be in the best interests of the offender that he be dealt with by means of such an order. Part II deals with procedural matters, as well as with role of supervision officer, obligations of offenders under weekend detention orders and duration of weekend detention orders. Part III makes provision for breaches and variation of weekend detention orders.
