Chapter II addresses basic rights and duties of citizens. It guarantees, inter alia, equality between men and women, the right to join trade unions, and the right to choose employment. Forced labour is forbidden, "except in cases defined by law" and woman and child labour is prohibited in heavy and underground works and in harmful conditions. With regard to wages, it provides for equal wages for equal work and respect of minimum wage. Establishes the State structure with three branches: Supreme Assembly, President and Government, and judicial power.
