This State Decree issued under the Civil Service Act (Gouvernementsblad 1962, No. 195; text now in force: Staatsblad 1985, No. 41, as amended by Staatsblad 1987, No. 93), provides for the granting to public servants of leaves of absence for special circumstances. These circumstances include maternity leave (six weeks prior to confinement probably taking place, and six weeks thereafter); marriage; confinement of spouse or concubine; specified anniversary dates of commencement of public service; 25th or 40th wedding anniversaries; moving; and death of specified relations. The Leave of Absence Decree, 1973 (Gouvernementsblad 1973, No. 115) is repealed.
