VII p. 821), Widows and Orphans (Rates of Contribution) Order 1945, Holidays with Pay Ordinance (cap. 108), Accidental Deaths and Workmen's Injuries (Compensation) Ordinance (cap. 112), Trade Unions Ordinance (cap. 113), and the Factories Ordinance (Cap. 115). Most of the amendments concern amending monetary values given in the regulations in question.

Inserts a new paragraph into Art. 65 which provides that the validity of any law made under this Constitution with effect from a date earlier than the day this Constitution commenced shall not be called into question in any court or tribunal on the grounds that it contravenes previous constitutions. Art. 231 is amended to provide that no court shall question as to whether there was consultation with co-operatives, trade unions and socio-economic institutions pursuant to Art. 11. Also adds a par. 4 to Art. 142 regarding protection from deprivation of property.

Provides comprehensive legislation governing factories. Part II regulates the registration of factories. Part III relates to factory inspection. Factories shall be inspected by inspectors representing the Labour Authority (s. 9), or, in cases of injury or death, by examining surgeons (s. 12). Part IV concerns safety. Section 19 prohibits the employment of children in any factory. Part V relates to holidays and rest periods. S. 23 governs rest periods for night shifts; s. 24 relates to overtime. Part VI defines the power of the Minister to make regulations concerning, inter alia, health, safety, medical supervision, boilers, ventilation, and records and certificates. Part VII sets out offences, penalties and procedures. Part VIII contains miscellaneous provisions, including a requirement that an abstract of the Act and any regulations made thereunder be displayed in every factory (s. 35).

S. 201 prohibits intimidation of workers.

Makes several amendments to the Public Utility Undertakings and Public Health Services Arbitration Act (Cap. 54:01). It amends the following:
- the long title of the Act by deleting the words "in public utility undertakings and in certain services and to prohibit strikes and lock-outs in such undertakings or services", and substitutes them with the words "in essential services and to prohibit strikes and lock-outs in such services";
- section 1(1) by replacing "Public Utility Undertakings and Public Health Services" with "Essential Services";
- Section 1(2) by replacing "those services" with "the essential services";
- Section 4 by replacing "a Public Utility and Public Health Services Arbitration Tribunal" with "an Essential Services Arbitration Tribunal";
- Section 19(1) by replacing the whole sub-section concerning offences;
- Repeals and replaces the Schedule now entitled "Essential Services" and in which all of the essential services are listed.

Provides that women and men have equal rights and the same legal status in all spheres of political, economic and social life and that all forms of discrimination against women or men on the basis of their sex or marital status are illegal. Women and men shall be paid equal remuneration for the same work or work of the same nature and no person shall be ineligible for, or discriminated against in respect of any employment, appointment or promotion in, or to, any office or position on the ground of sex. Provides that an employer shall not be prevented from making special labour and health protection measures for women, or from making provisions for conditions enabling mothers to work or for material and moral support for mothers and children including paid leave and other benefits for mothers and expectant mothers. Made under Art. 29 of the Constitution.

Establishes a Board of Industrial Training. The duties of the board are, inter alia, to licence and keep a register of masters whom it considers suitable to receive apprentices, to issue certificates of competency, to fix the period of apprenticeship, to cancel licences and certificates issued under this Act and settle disputes between masters and apprentices. Appoints Inspectors whose duties are to visit workshops and inspect apprentices at their work and report to the Board. Empowers the Board to impose a levy on employers and use such funds to pay grants to those who provide training to a full standard.
