Provides for the rights of married women, but does not apply if any of the parties professes the Islamic religion. Part II deals with the duties of husband and wife. Section 19 establishes that a married woman whose husband neglects or refuses to provide her reasonable maintenance may apply to a court of a Magistrate, which may, on proof thereof, order the husband to pay a monthly allowance or a lump sum for her maintenance.
